Tap's Trailers: Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes

Truth be told, I did not see the movie preceding this one. And if we are being honest here, I shitted all over the first movie. I thought it was going to be awful given how poorly Mark Wahlberg did with their attempt at a re-make. Instead, the movie drew rave reviews even to the point where they were talking Andy Serkis who plays Caesar, the head ape, for an Academy Award. Now this is where it gets tricky. It was a prequel meaning only Serkis is left from the cast featuring James Franco which makes sense, but they have a different director in Matt Reeves. The biggest credit to his name was he wrote/created Felicity for 14 years which makes the casting decision of Keri Russell an obvious one. He directed Coverfield so there is some experience, but I would be pressing the panic button with this one. Seems like the first one might go for naught.
