First Taste: Midnight - Coldplay

Dougy asked me in one of our nightly chats 'Did you hear the new Coldplay?'  Told him "I was getting to it after Beyonce, putting up for the morning part of Sportandfashion-news." He goes "Okay, well it's really bad."  I thought really how bad could it be.... OH MY GOD IT IS A COVER OF A BON IVER SONG.  Like what in the good nature hell Coldplay? The worst part is probably realizing it sounds like Justin Vernon and his band about five seconds into the song which really shows how pathetic of an attempt this is from Chris Martin.

This is a one of the top 10 bands in the world ripping off maybe a top 50-100 in the grand scheme of things with intersecting fanbases. At least when Kanye ripped off The Death Grips according to my sidekick SchoolDoug E, their fanbases do not really come together.  If you think this is not a copycat version of something Bon Iver has done throughout the years, you are a Coldplay fanboy or fangirl. I am not mad at you for that stance, just saying what you are, own it, do not try and defend it.
