FC Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos has alerted five Premier League giants regarding a possible transfer after revealing that he has turned down a new deal at the Bundesliga Champions.
Manchester United, City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been after the 24 year older German international for sometime now, with David Moyes a keen admirer. Moyes even travelled out to Germany last month to watch Kroos in a Friday night televised game, as Bayern beat Borossia Monchongladbach 2-0, to keep up their superb run. However, despite playing in a team full of stars, he has grown frustrated due to a lack of playing time under Pep Guardiola, with the new manager opting to play Thiago instead. Bayern are believed to value the player at around £25 million. The player revealed earlier this week that he snubbed a lucrative new deal at the Allianz Arena. Kroos released a statement regarding his future... ‘I love Bayern and I don’t mind that I am a squad player at the moment. However, me and the club have not been able to agree a contract renewal – and we’ll now see what the future brings.’ Kroos’ current deal with Bayern runs until 2015, but the news is said to have sparked United’s interest. The midfielder was a target for United in January, in a bid which the German giants rejected, however, with the World Cup in Brazil looming, he needs regular first team football.
