Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho could set up a reunion with Inter Milan veteran Cristian Chivu. The 33-year-old is out of contract at the end of this season and will not be extending his seven-year stay at the San Siro, where he lifted the European Cup under the guidance of Mourinho in 2010. Blues captain John Terry is yet to pen a fresh deal and might be on his way out of Stamford Bridge in a matter of months, leaving the title hopefuls in need of cover at the heart of their defence. French youngster Kurt Zouma arrives on a permanent basis in June from St Etienne, but is untried in the Premier League, while Brazilian David Luiz is wanted by European heavyweights Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, and could also depart.
