Bayern manager Pep Guardiola is willing to let attacking midfielder Toni Kroos depart from the club at the end of the season due to such a high wage demand, which has attracted a host of Premier League teams who are eager to reel in the star player. The end of the transfer season marked another six months for attacking midfielder Toni Kroos to stay at current club Bayern Munich despite United’s long lasting interest. The German giants are prepared to let the 24-year-old go in the summer transfer window as the Bundesliga club are involved in a contract stand-off with the player. Prospect Kroos has less than 18 months to run on his Bayern contract, but has told the club he wants to up his wages from £60,000-a-week to an astonishing £150,000-a-week according to The Express. Manager Pep Guardiola will oppose the prospect of the players’ wage increasing too over double his current pay, increasing the possibility of a move to England. Kroos was even left on the bench during Bayern’s 5-0 win over Frankfurt yesterday for the first time in two months. United boss David Moyes has displayed his ambition to snatch the German in this last window, sending an agent to converse with Kroos’s agent. It will be believed that The Red Devils look the most likely to gain his signature in summer and help with Moyes’s building plans. Although, if United do not reach the elite Champions League, the prospect could be a mere fantasy for the Scottish manager and in reality the player could join a rival club.
